Commonly asked questions.

q. what payment types are accepted at tuxedo den?

A.  We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, Debt and cash only.  We do not accept American Express or Checks.

Q. Why is a credit card needed for my rental?

A.  We require a credit card to be on file with all tuxedo rentals to ensure that any additional fees, if any, are charged accordingly. i.e. Late returns, lost or damaged beyond normal wear and tear.

The credit card does not have to be used for payment of the rental.      Tuxedo rentals will not be issued without a credit card being on file. 

Q.What if i have two proms. How much will it cost and what does it include.

A. If you have two proms you have two choices.   If your prom is back-to-back weekends then you may keep your tuxedo rental for a full two weeks.  Your feel will be a rental and a half to keep it for a full two weeks.  However it must be a stock item in order for us to accommodate you.    You will receive two shirts with this rental so you have a clean shirt to wear for the second prom.   If you get your tuxedo rental dirty from the first one then you will need to get it cleaned on your own between the two events.    If you want a second vest rental for the event that will be charged separately from your base rental.   Your rental will be due back the day after the second prom.

Q.  Do i have to pay for the full rental when i first come in to pick it out?

A. No.  We only require a $20 security deposit on the tuxedo rental at the time of booking.   We will accept full payment at the time you pick it up.    We also require a Credit card on file for the tuxedo rental in case you incur any late fees or loose any items.

Q.  What happens if i loose something from my tuxedo rental.

A.  If an item is lost then you will be responsible for the replacement cost of the item.   This is a rare instance.  However please note that we would much rather you return everything else then return what you have late and incur late rental charges.   However please know that if you lose a stud or a cufflink we will not charge you for these items unless they are all missing.  We understand that they are small and sometimes fall out and get lost.  

Q. What happens if my son forgets to bring his tuxedo back and he went to wildwood or away for the weekend.

A. He will be billed $25 per day for every day his rental is late from his scheduled return.   Just be sure to make arrangements with him before he goes to the prom to leave the tuxedo at home or with someone to return it for him after the prom.  

Q What is a $20 security deposit?

A. A security deposit is taken at the time of the initial rental booking.  This deposit is separate from the actual rental fee and is there to ensure that all rentals do come back on time, after the event has taken place.   Once the rental is returned to Tuxedo Den the day after the prom a $20 cash refund on the security deposit will be issued to the person that returned the tuxedo rental.   They will sign a receipt stating they received the deposit back so there is no question that the rental was returned on time.
